If any of you know me personally, I love my wine. I love the taste, the food that goes with it, and learning about wine all around. I have a wine cellar in my home, and it’s one of the most peaceful places I love hanging out. Napa Valley has always been one of my husbands and I’s favorite places to visit. We love visiting the wineries and picking out our favorites to get shipped back . We do go a bit overboard, but who doesn’t right? I can’t remember where my love for wine really started, but I do know I have drank it for a long time . I do have my favorites, and I’m more of a Pinot Noir lover. A good Rose never hurt anyone either.
We love staying in the quaint city of Yountville. This is really close to Calistoga and St. Helena. We always stay at the Bardessano resort, as we love it so much. One thing I love mostly about it is the zen like feeling it has about it. I truly feel like I’m staying at a retreat. They have the best service ( including their amazing turn down service). They have the impeccable Lucy Restaurant. If you are ever in Yountville, make sure you stop by The Lucy restaurant for their amazing green juices and avocado toast. We love taking drives to the cities next door because the drive itself is just gorgeous. You will see along the way some of your favorite wine wineries. Calistoga and St. Helena have some amazing boutiques in their downtown with some great unique items for your home. We bought some really beautiful chairs for our other home we are renovating at the moment. They have some great fashion boutiques also that I fell in love with.
If you are visiting in the summer, you can always bike around the beautiful city of Yountville. We love doing this early in the morning. We grab our coffee and go on a relaxing bike ride. If you have extra time, driving to beautiful Sonoma is also fun. If you stay at the Bardessano, their pool is very relaxing and private. The wineries are always so much fun too. If you can schedule a tasting, try the beautiful Chateau Montelena. They have some amazing tasting offerings, and it’s always fun to meet new people in your tasting groups. The grounds have so much history and the chateau is stunning. If you want some breathtaking views at dinner time, schedule a great table at the Auberge De Soleil. The views are like nothing else and they have some of the best wine options for everyone. We actually ordered some of our favorite wine after having it there. The bar in the Bottega Napa Valley is one of my favorites with the best appetizers and bartenders. Their espresso martinis rock too. Napa Valley never disappoints , especially if your a wine lover like me.
