Hey! It’s that time of the year when Starbucks is entertaining their delightful , oh so delicious holiday drinks and the lines are a mile long. The vanilla latte is my favorite, but when you look at the sugar added to those, umm no thanks!
I’m not saying that I don’t treat myself all year from Starbucks, but I do pick and choose. Those added calories are not for me. The vanilla syrup alone is loaded up with added sugars. I decided to try my own spin on things, and that’s where I came up with my lovely skinny Vanilla Latte. I love a good vanilla latte but I just don’t like the sugar aspect . I decided to put my spin on my own drink, and I do love it. It’s a great morning drink that I usually drink 1-2 times a week, not every day. If you all love a good Vanilla Latte, try this skinny version.
-strong brewed coffee
-sugar free , vanilla unsweetened almond milk
-vanilla stevia drops
I really love my coffee strong. I love adding in more coffee than most just because I love that real strong “get me going” in the morning.. I d noticed if your coffee isn’t somewhat strong, your latte won’t taste as good due to the fact that a latte requires a lot of milk. In a sauce pan, bring your milk to a simmer. Once it’s simmered, pour over your coffee. Add in your stevia drops. The skinny latte is skinny for a reason. I don’t use high fat milk . I use the almond milk in a frother to add just a whipped topping on top of it! Then I sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on it! So so good! This is honestly one of my favorite ways to start my mornings! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
