Delicious Cacao and the Benefits it has

Hi Babes!
I don’t know if you are a chocolate lover like me, but the downside to chocolate is that it can add a boatload of sugar to a healthy lifestyle. Cacao is actually the unprocessed version of chocolate. We all know that a little bit of dark chocolate can be very healthy for your heart in moderation, but cacao powder in the raw has been shown to help in preventing blood clots, and helps to lower blood pressure. Cacao powder is also packed with fiber, which in turn helps to sustain a healthy digestion . Cacao has also been shown to reduce diabetes risk. Cacao is extremely high in antioxidants, and can help with skin irritations and cell oxidation. It helps to improve the hydration in your skin.It can also help with premature aging and soothe redness.
The nutrition in Cacao powder is packed with not only flavanoids, but its loaded with Iron, Protein, Magnesium, Potassium along with fiber. You can use Cacao powder in a variety of ways. You can make a great hot chocolate with some healthy almond or oat milk, you can sprinkle a bit of the powder on yogurt, on toast, add it to a healthy smoothie, or make some amazing cacao protein balls for a healthy snack. I’ll share that recipe soon. If you are a chocolate lover , it’s a healthy move to add cacao to your health regimen. It can have a bit of a gritty taste at first, but it’s something that is easily adaptable once you start eating it.

Cacao powder has also been linked to lower depression and better sleep. It contains serotonin and tryptophan which are both associated with a better mood. It does contain a small amount of caffeine, but nothing over the top. If your looking for a good little snack , I love the Hu Chocolate bars. These are a great little snack to eat whenever you get the munchies. I also love adding the Navitas Cacao Nibs to my yogurt.
I wanted to share this amazing addition that I absolutely love. I hope you love it as much as I do.
xoxo
