Having good days are always on our radar. Correct? We have good intentions to always have good days, but they don’t always turn out that way. Not every day we go through is going to be the best day. That just isn’t life. I do have ways to set your day up to make the most of it. Don’t get me wrong. We all have days where we want to take a break of the hustle and bustle because we feel over worked, or exhausted from all of what life throws at us. The morning routine that we make for ourselves will set the day for what is coming. I feel these habits are something great to add to your morning routine.

SET AN INTENTION

The minute your eyes open, take a few minutes to set an intention for the day. What is a wish for the day? How do you want to open your heart or your mind? How do you want to align yourself? These are questions that I ask myself every morning that I wake up. I do have a pretty amazing morning routine, and it truly sets my day. This could be something as simple as I want to be more positive today. It’s about yourself and anything your heart desires is what makes for a fantastic day.

JOURNALING

Buy yourself a journal where you can write down your thoughts, feelings, emotions or anything else that you want to write down. This is for you. It’s always nice to get our feelings down on paper and really write from our hearts. This may seem hard for some, but honestly it’s one of the best things I have ever started. I sit with my morning drink, and journal each morning for about 10-15 minutes. I write down my goals, feelings , affirmations and anything else that comes to my mind. This is a time for reflection. It’s even great to write in the morning and evening. It truly will become a morning ritual once you adapt to it.

MEDITATE

This is literally one of my favorite practices of all time. I love it so much that I am currently getting my certification in meditation. It has brought so much calm to my life, my days, everything. Once my practice is over, I can’t tell you the peace and joy I feel. There is something about it that nothing else has brought me. Yes, I love Yoga, but meditation is special on it’s own. If you do try to meditate, start small. Do not go over 20 minutes. The more you do it, the more you will love it. Try to fins a quiet place, and set aside some time to really unwind your mind. It works, believe me.

REFLECTION

Reflection goes a bit with intention. I say reflection because its best to reflect on how you want to start your day and not grab your phone first thing in the morning. Social media is a drainer. You can say to yourself that your only going to be on for 10 minutes, but I can guarantee that 10 minutes turns into 30 minutes. Take some time to reflect without your phone by your side. This could be reading your journal, or reading your favorite quotes, or reading anything that sets your tone for the day. I love to read my book Jesus Calling, It’s my favorite.

STRETCHING

Stretching is so good for our bodies. We were born to move. We feel better when we move. I strect every morning after my meditation. I take about 15 minutes and do some light yogi type stretching. It has made a difference in my daily workouts, my joints, and how good my workouts are. It truly makes a difference .

These five habits will truly set your days up for good intention and success. They will motivate you and make you feel like you can conquer the world.
